Sunset over Copenhagen, seen from Christianshavn. This marks my first iPhone4 picture upload to the blog. The only reason I upgraded to iPhone4 was for the camera, so hopefully I will get some more high quality pictures to post.

This picture was taken with ToyCamera using random effect and then severely cropped with Photogene, all on the iPhone4.

This Ford Mustang drove right past me the other day. While still a vintage car, it’s a whole other beast than the Peugeot. It’s an American car and my gues probably one of the most well know American vintage cars around. This specific one is gorgeous and in really good condition the engine sounded great as it accelrated away down the street. It’s definantly a first generation Mustang but judging from the bumper it’s not the 1964 1/2 model but probably from the late ’60 but that’s just my guess.

Admitted I have a think for vintage cars, which is funny because I really don’t care for cars in general, don’t own one, don’t want one (with one exception) and I think they should be banned from the centre of town. This Peugeot 304 was parked (illegally) right in the centre of town, and was in mint condition. There is something about vintage car design that is just beautiful, something that modern car design almost never captures. When it comes to new car design I Personally like the new Mini and the Fiat 500, but then again they are heavily inspired by their respective original designs, also the New Beetle is in it’s own right gorgeous.

Now I am not saying there isn’t newly designed cars that aren’t nice but especially when it comes to regular cars (not sports cars) there is a general lack of imagination among car designers, and what there is get crushed by production optimizing.

Oh and the car I wouldn’t mind owning is a Morgan sports car preferably vintage.

Yes that would be my passion for whiskey. This is a porcelain flagon of Royal Salute 21 from Scottish Chivas. It comes in a neat flannel bag with a golden  string to seal it. The whiskey itself is fairly decent, it’s a blended so not really my game, and why I call it fairly decent. I prefer single malts, only exception to that is Johnny Walker Green Label which is a vatted malt. Also known as a blend of different single malt whiskeys from different distilleries, I believe it’s 15 they use for the Green Label.

I originally shot the picture for a photo contest over here, but ended up adding a bit more contrast than what is naturally possible (at least with my rig), and photoshoping is not a part of the contest so the picture ended up here instead. If you want to see the original hit the link above.

This is the actual Maya Ruins at Tulum. The picture is taken just before this one, and is a local guide observing the last tourists leaving the area just before it gets dark an hour or so later. I actually stole this motive from my girlfriend who was taking a picture of the same with her compact camera. Contrast and colours have been enhanced a little to make it seem more vibrant, the lighting is real and is from the sun setting behind me, as the previous post shows.

Sunset of the Maya ruins at Tulum, Mexico, facing the land side. I took this during my recent trip to Mexico in early January. Picture was shot using a polarizer filter and all manual settings. Post processing was used to lighten up the ruins a bit and increase contrast.

Was at The Hustle and Flow event this weekend in Copenhagen. I was doing some photography for my friend who is the proprietor of the Hostle Bar and host for the evenings event.

This is one of the DJs, unfortunately I forgot to get his name. The picture was taken with my SLR and has seen some editing in photoshop, both to remove some unwanted things and add the vignetting and blur around the edges.

This is actually the first picture I took in 2010, not counting the drunken photos just past midnight. It’s yet another HDR picture, this time in proper format for the web, after several annoyed people pointing out that tif is not a web complaint format (Sorry it worked in Safari and Chrome, my bad). Will be correcting the old ones shortly. Also in this post I am testing mapping my vantage points so you can see exactly where I took a given picture, this is in test face and we will se how it works. If you feel like it’s slowing down the page load to much or utterly redundant please drop a comment.

The motive it self is a small harbor north of Cancun. The island in the backgrund is Isle Mujeres. which you can also see on this map .

I will be updating with more warm summer pictures to get us thru february, which in Scandinavia at least looks to be cold. There is snow and it looks like it will be snowing the next 4 days.

Christianshavn by night, taken from “the back” where mostly only locals wonder to, unless you have the extensive guide book or your taking a harbor cruise.

The Diamond which is the main building for the The Royal Library in Denmark, it connects to the original building that lies behind it. So as you enter the new and shining building and venture into old library where you seamlessly pass into the old building and the original library, quite poetic when you think about it. On the far left of the picture is what used to be the royal brew house built by Christian the 4. who apparently had a little bit of a drinking problem, not only of the alcohol type but also with the water in Copenhagen which around 1600s was contaminated, so daily rations of beer for servicemen was very common, soldiers and sailors were issued up to 6 liters a day.

Unlike the previous HDR picture I decided to upload the .tif image so it might take a little longer to load depending on your connection, but it looks better.
